POST CLERICAL CADRE EMOLUMENTS Basic Pay in Time Scale of Rs.7200 - 19300 plus DA, HRA, etc. as per Bipartite Settlement amended from time to time AGE  (As on 01.01.2011) Minimum Age: 18 years Maximum age: 28 years. (Relaxation of age for Reserved Candidates as per Government guidelines) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS  (As on 01.01.2011) A Pass with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen) in HSC of 10 + 2 (10+2+3) pattern / 11th Standard of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate / Pre-University or any equivalent examination / Diploma in Banking recognized by Central / State Government or U.T. Admn. (OR) Degree in any discipline from a recognized University OR any equivalent qualification recognized by Central Government. PROBATION PERIOD Minimum period of 6 months. Before the probation period comes to an end, the performance of the newly recruited Clerical Staff will be evaluated and the probation period of those staff whose performance fails to meet Bank's expectation, may be extended. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:  A Pass with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen) in HSC of 10 + 2 (10+2+3) pattern / 11th Standard of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate / Pre-University or any equivalent examination / Diploma in Banking recognized by Central / State Government or U.T. Note:  For Ex-Servicemen (who do not possess the above) a pass in Service (Departmental) Examination which is recognized as equivalent to Civil Examination not below the rank of Higher Secondary School Examination. All Educational Qualifications should be from recognized University / Central / State / U.T. Administration. Should be able to write and speak English fluently. Knowledge of local / State language for which he desires to apply, will be an added qualification. Computer Literacy - Should possess a certificate in Computer Literacy AGE: (As on 01. 01. 2011): Minimum: 18 Years, Maximum: 28 Years Relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex Servicemen as per Government's Guidelines. Details are mentioned in para 5 (C). 2. HOW TO APPLY Candidates are required to apply On-Line through website www.bankofbaroda.com No other means/ mode of application will be accepted. Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID. It should be kept active during the currency of this recruitment project. Bank may send call letters for written test, interview etc. through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances, he/she should share/mention e-mail ID to/ or of any other person. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying on-line. Applicants are first required to go to the Bank's website www.bankofbaroda.com and click on the link "Recruitment". Thereafter, open the Recruitment Notification entitled "RECRUITMENT OF -1500- CLERICAL STAFF - PROJECT 2011". Take a Print of the entire Recruitment Notification, including the "FEE PAYMENT CHALLAN'. Fill in the Fee Payment Challan in a clear and legible handwriting in BLOCK LETTERS. Go to the nearest Bank of Baroda Branch with the Fee payment Challan and pay, in Cash, the appropriate Application Fee in Account No.29040200000199 with Bandra Kurla Complex Branch in favour of "RECRUITMENT OF -1500- CLERICAL STAFF - PROJECT 2011". Candidates are now ready to Apply On-Line by re-visiting the Recruitment Page of the Bank's website and going to the sublink titled "ON-LINE APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT OF -1500- CLERICAL STAFF- PROJECT 2011". Click on this sublink will open up the appropriate On-Line Application Format. Carefully fill in the necessary details from the Fee Payment Challan in the On-Line Application Form at the appropriate places. Original counterfoil of the fee payment challan will have to be submitted with the Call Letter at the time of written test. Without counterfoil of the fee payment challan the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the written test. Candidates are therefore advised to keep -3- PHOTOCOPIES of the fee payment challan for future use. The name of the candidate or his/her father/husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the certificates/mark sheets. Any change / alteration found may disqualify the candidature. There is provision to modify the submitted on-line application. Candidates are requested to make use of this facility to correct details in on-line application, if any. This modification facility shall be available after -2- days of registration and upto 15.02.2011. Modification will be allowed only -3- times. SC/ST/OBC/OTHERS) to which they belong to. The number of vacancies as also the number of reserved vacancies is provisional and may vary according to actual requirements of the Bank. The recruitment will be on Statewise / Union Territory-wise basis. A candidate can make an application for only one State or Union Territory and he / she should be willing to be posted at any place in that State / Union Territory. Nevertheless, candidates may indicate -3- Districts of the State for which he has applied for in order of preference for posting. While Bank will endeavor to post the selected candidate in the District of preference in the State, the candidates should note that they are liable to be posted anywhere in the State depending on Bank's needs, but not necessarily in preferred District or Centre as indicated in the application. Further he / she will have to appear for the Written Test from an Examination Centre specified for that particular State / Union Territory only and examination call-letter will be issued accordingly. No change in the preference of the State / Union Territory applied and / or Examination Centre will be permitted after submission of the application form. GENERAL INFORMATION NATIONALITY/ CITIZENSHIP: A candidate must be either i) a Citizen of India or ii) a subject of Nepal or iii) subject of Bhutan or iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/ interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the Government of India has issued the necessary eligibility certificate to him/her.  APPLICATIONS FROM SERVING EMPLOYEES:  Subject to their fulfilling their eligibility criteria, employees of Bank of Baroda in the Subordinate Staff cadre may also apply for the aforesaid post. Such candidates, if selected, shall resign from their present positions in the bank and re-join the Bank's services afresh. AGE : (As on 01. 01. 2011): Minimum: 18 Years, Maximum: 28 Years Relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex Service Men as per Government's Guidelines as detailed below: SC/ST candidates by 5 years. Other Backward Classes by 3 years. VH/HI/OH by 10 years. Ex-Serviceman: 3 years in addition to the usual period of service in the Defence forces subject to a maximum age of 50 years. Widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands who have not re-married by 9 years i.e. subject to a maximum age of -35- years for General Category Candidates, -38- years for OBC Candidates and -40- years for SC/ST Candidates. All persons who have ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of J & K State during 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989 by 5 years. The Children/Family Members of those who died in the 1984 riots by 5 years. Persons eligible under age relaxation under this criterion must produce a certificate from the District Magistrate to the effect that they are eligible for relief in terms of the Rehabilitation Package for 1984 Riot Affected Persons sanctioned by the Government and communicated vide Ministry of Finance, Dept. of Financial Services communication No. F.No. 9/21/2006-IR dated 27.07.2007. Relaxation in upper age limit is cumulative as per Government guidelines, subject to maximum of -50- years. D. DEFINITION OF EX-SERVICEMAN Only those candidates shall be treated as Ex-Serviceman who fulfill the revised definition as laid down in Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms Notification No. 36034/5/85 Estt. (SCT) dated 27.10.1986 as amended from time to time. Disabled Ex-Servicemen (DISXS) : Ex-Servicemen who while serving in Armed Forces of the Union were disabled in operation against the enemy or in disturbed areas shall be treated as DISXS. Dependents of Ex-Servicemen killed in action (DXS): Ex-Servicemen killed in the following operations would be deemed to have been killed in action attributable to military service (a) war (b) war like operations or Border skirmishes either with Pakistan on cease fire line or any other country (c) fighting against armed hostiles in a counter insurgency environment viz. Nagaland, Mizoram, etc. (d) serving with peace keeping mission abroad (e) laying or clearance of mines including enemy mines as also mine sweeping operation between one month before and three months afterconclusion of an operation (f) frost bite during actual operations or during the period specified by the Government (g) dealing with agitating para-military forces personnel (h) IPKF Personnel killed during the operations in Srilanka.  NOTE: (1) Candidates still serving in Defence Services and desirous of applying under Ex-Servicemen category should submit a certificate from the Competent Authority that they would be released / retired on or before 01.01.2012. (2) Ex-Servicemen candidates who have already secured employment under the Central Government in Group "C' & "D' will be permitted the benefit of age relaxation as prescribed for Ex-Servicemen for securing another employment in a higher grade or cadre in Group "C' / "D' under the Central Government. However, such candidates will not be eligible for the benefit of reservation for Ex-Servicemen in Central Government jobs.
